"Out of Africa" is more than a wildlife park - it's a wildlife preserve for African animal species.  One can board a two storey Unimog and ride into the "Serengeti".  There gentle giant giraffes will take the 'cookies' offered them right out of your mouth with their long sticky blue tongues and gazelle, zebra, sable, ostrich, deer and wildbeest roam free.  Tigers, lions and bears (Oh, My!!) enjoy the sun within their natural habitats.  When these pictures were taken in 2005, this park is in transition from their former home and although not yet complete, is very impressive for the rapport and respect that the owners and these animals have for each other.  They now have the 'Tiger Splash' where their tigers enjoy playtime with their handlers in the water.  This was an enjoyable day!  Although we haven't had the opportunity to go back to see the improvements, we get their newsletters and it all looks very impressive and worth another look next time we are there.
